Bellbird Cottage is a self-contained cottage in a quiet, lovely setting of native and exotic trees, 7 minutes from the town centre. If you like peace and quiet in a rural setting, while being close to all the attractions, this is the place for you!
A wonderful chorus of birdsong is a feature in this otherwise quiet setting, which has been planted to attract native birds.

Barry takes guided bird-watching trips into a nearby river reserve, which offers a chance to see a wide variety of native birds, including Bellbird, Fantail, Tui, Waxeye, NZ Pigeon, Grey Warbler, Brown Creeper, South Is. Robin and Rifleman. This is a very good South Island’s bird-watching site, where bush birds can be seen at close quarters.

The Cottage:
* self-contained. 2 bedrooms (1 double plus single, one Queen), kitchen, bathroom. Suitable for 2-4 people.
* Includes all bedding, towels, cooking and eating utensils,
microwave, elec. frypan, toaster, elec. Jug.

* Tariff: $95 per double, (discount for more than 2 nights), $20 per extra adult, $10 per child under 12 ($15 otherwise).
